Soma ideas and tips to avoid bringing back made-in-China souvenirs from Vaison
If you drive to Nyons, capital of olive oils, you might want to stop at “La Scourtinerie”. They have revived an ancient production of sisal filters that where originally used for filtering olives when pressed. Those filtres are now rather used as entrance mat (like in our place), carpets, or as table mats in smaller sizes. They are still hand made, and now come in gorgeous and playful colours, yum!

Also, at the tuesday market, numerous stands sell olive tree utensils. Not sure they are all made in Provence, but for sure that is a Mediterranean tree, so I will call it local.
Marseille Soap, lavender and lavendin essential oils and lavender flowers can also be found on tuesday market, and in souvenir shops in town.

Lavendin has a strong camphor aroma, and it is an insect repellent, perfect for repelling clothes mites in the closets.
You can also find Citronella essential oil, that is a very strong insect repellent, usable outdoor instead of the scented candles that often have all sorts of toxic stuff.
