The museum is in the archeological grounds of the Puymin site,
I very much recommend a visit before the grounds itself, as the numerous artefacts and reconstitutions will help you visualise the way of life of antique Vasio Vocontiorum.
The typical farm-turned town’s villa
The town center as it was at the time, complete with an amphitheatre near the theatre.

Meet the VIPs’: Emperor Claude,

Many different type of amphoras bear witness of the active business going round mediterranean shores
Theatre masks marking the tombs in cementaries out of town
The beautifully preserved Peacocks’s mosaic
A tiny fragment of a fairy frescoe in one of the villas. Villas used to be lavishly decorated with patterns and paintings, but very few of these remain

To complete or prepare your visit, we have various paper and digital publications from the museum that will give you an insight of the antique lifestyle and put you in the mood to visit Roman Vaison.
