Like in any farm, the patio is central to both in and outdoor areas. It gives access to the house and guest suite. It is also located off the kitchen and shaded by an ancient Acacia for summer lunches. During cooler seasons, it is protected from the winds and still receives plenty of sun as the leaves have fell. This is of course not a coincidence: vernacular architecture is usually bioclimatic, farmers have built energy efficient housing well before that term was even coined. Ancient wisdom allows us to enjoy outdoor lunches year round as the sun is rarely absent for long.
The open view over Mont Ventoux is a powerful draw and a challenge for cyclist enthusiasts. After climbing the Ventoux, they are happy to contemplate the location of their exploit whilst sipping their well deserved champaign!
