at Atelier Mei Line

For aesthetes who are looking for originality, Mei Line is an exclusive brand that dresses the home and its inhabitants.

The antique fabrics I use are part of the trousseaux that women used to embroider and finish before getting married. They have embedded stories: people made love in them, babies where born in them.

Those precious fabrics are still found forgotten in attics, particularly in Provence, where I live and work, and where all the transformations takes place.

The fabrics are patterned with ancestral techniques and dyed with plant based natural dyes. They are then produced into timeless, empowering and durable clothing and home wear.

I fell in love with the magic of natural dyes a few years ago, after trying different ways of personalizing soft furnishing for La Baye des Anges, as well as up cycling cherished antique fabrics and personal wardrobe favorites.

After an initiation course at Couleur Garance in Lauris, one of the pioneer center for re-appropriation of natural dye techniques, and several advance courses in pattern making and printing, I moved on to professionalization with the creation of Mei Line.

I am happy to share some insight into my work as a natural dyer in the form of half day, full day or tailored classes in the atelier, located on the grounds of la Baye des Anges with a gorgeous view over the Mont Ventoux.
