Ecce Homo, Ernest Pignon-Ernest @ Palais des Papes

by Aug 9, 2019

A few shots of the stunning exhibition at the Pope’s Palace, in Avignon.

The artists work spanning several decades (from 1966) is on display, some original works, and many photos, being father of street art and his work is mainly displayed out there.. Ernest Pignon-Ernest shines light on suffering and misery, from prison inmates during WWII to illegal immigrant being exploited, to persecuted political activists, he conveys the blackness and unfairness of it all. Not a joyous exhibition, but definitely a moving one, and one not to miss..

I am including the explicative notes (after each piece), as they are essential to understand the message and the context of every piece.
